The new Ministers in the first expansion by Chief Minister KCR were sworn in by Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. As expected, Jupally Krishna Rao, Ajmeera Chandulal, Dr Charlakola Lakshma Reddy, Allolla Indrakaran Reddy, Thummala Nageswara Rao and Talasani Srinivas Yadav were inducted.

The portfolios of new Ministers are yet to be announced. With the new addition, the KCR Cabinet has a total of 18 Ministers including the CM, which is the maximum limit. Interestingly, 4 out of the 6 new Ministers inducted originally belonged to TDP. They are Thummala, Talasani, Indrakaran and Chandulal.

5. Thummala Nageswara Rao, Khammam

Was a Minister in Chandrababu Naidu government in the past. Known to be close to the TDP chief. Differences developed after Chandrababu started giving more importance to Nama Nageswara Rao from the same district. In the last Assembly election, Tummala lost Khammam seat to Congress candidate Puvvada Ajay Kumar by a margin of little over 6,000 votes.

Was earlier Minister in Chandrababu Naidu cabinet and long-time member and MLA of Telugu Desam Party. Elected as MLA from Sanath Nagar in 2014 elections on TDP ticket.
