babu in bhavanThat Chandrababu Naidu is a restless man is a known fact. But even the most cynical observers of the TDP chief did not expect him to jump headlong into day-to-day politics so fast after his return from the grueling padayatra.

The day he returned to Hyderabad after his tiring 208-day yatra, Chandrababu participated in the ‘Yudha Bheri’ rally organized by Manda Krishna Madiga. That was a scheduled event, and hence his presence, many thought.

The next day, he gave an interview to ABN. Many, including his party men, expected that he would take rest ensconced in the comforts of home for at least a week after the long walk in the scorching summer. But it was not to be. The third day of his return – that is today – saw him return to NTR Trust Bhavan.

A media alert by TDP media wing asks the press to cover the return of Chandrababu to his office in the following SMS: “Sri T D Janardhana (office coordination secretary) welcome Sri N Chandrababu Naidu at NTR Bhavan at 12.30 pm. Please Cover”.

“Our leader cannot sit still for a minute. Ask him to relax at home for a week, and he would consider it a punishment. He gets mad unless he is doing something or the other. His mind never sleeps and is always politically charged,” says an MLC of TDP.

Indeed, no one can beat Chandrababu Naidu in his obsessive practice of politics, which for him is his lifeline. Compare that with KCR’s selective – some might say, clever – engagement with politics!
