An all-out war seems to be imminent between Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana. The latter made cryptic remarks on Wednesday about Kiran and TDP chief having an understanding over the selection of RTI Commissioners, while MLA R Domardar Reddy, a Kiran loyalist, came up with a demand for anointing Telangana leaders to the posts of PCC chief and Assembly Speaker.

Speaking to the media in the Assembly lobby, Botsa said that Chandrababu Naidu had clearly entered into an agreement with the government over the appointment of RTI Commissioners. The PCC chief sought to give the impression that he was blowing the lid over the TDP double-speak, he was actually targeting the CM who will find the remark politically embarrassing.

The Nalgonda MLA Domadar Reddy, known for his proximity to the Kiran camp, also made a statement that was intended at creating trouble to Botsa. Since the CM is from Andhra, the PCC president post should go to Telangana, Reddy said. The demand from the Telangana leader has certainly the blessings of the CM’s camp, since this would be an effective way to contain Botsa.

The Chief Minister had earlier also made attempts at cutting the PCC chief to size by removing him as Minister, but without success.

Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see how Kiran would react to Botsa comments on the ‘understanding’ between him and Chandrababu Naidu.
