Opposition YSR Congress Party described today’s swearing-in as a black day for Andhra Pradesh and a violation of all constitutional norms. Taking strong exception against inducting four MLAs elected on YSR Congress Party ticket into the cabinet, party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy said the move was a gross violation of the constitution.
Jagan also took Governor ESL Narasimhan to task for swearing these four in, even though they failed to resign to their seats and get elected on TDP ticket. The Assembly Speaker, Chief Minister and even the Governor were indulging in activity that is nothing but a constitutional farce, he alleged.
