Jagan has come out with a revelation. TDP and Congress entered into understanding over the 18 seats to which by-polls are due in the next few months.

The YSR Congress Chief has given specific details this time. Speaking at Guntur Odarpu Yatra, Jagan alleged that in accordance with the agreement, Congress was leaving Prattipadu, Payakaraopet, Yemmiganuru, Anantpur and Rayadurg to TDP.

Congress will contest in the rest of the seats, where TDP will have only nominal presence, Jagan said.

The 18 seats will be crucial for the future of the ruling Congress as well as Opposition TDP. If they fail to secure a few seats, or if Jagan were to win in all these seats without any exception, then Congress will have no moral standing to continue in the government.

Even TDP, desperate to come back to power, will have all its doors closed, if it fails to make its presence felt.

It is in this backdrop that Jagan is making these allegations. While the time is too early to verify such an accusation, it is a fact that both these parties will no leave no stone unturned to cause some damage to YSR Congress in the next by-elections.
