Actress Jeevitha at the Erram Manzil court.
Actress Jeevitha was sentenced to two years imprisonment in a cheque bounce case by a local court in Hyderabad. According to S Sekhar Reddy, who filed the case, Jeevitha took a loan of Rs 22 lakh from him, assuring that she would give the rights of the film ‘Evadaithe Naakenti’ in 2007. After a cheque given by Jeevitha bounced, Sekhar Reddy said he had approached the court.

Jeevitha, however, claimed that it was a false case. She said she had deposited Rs 25 lakh in the court, and is appealing against the sentence. Jeevitha said that Sekhar Reddy misled the court and she did not owe him any money.
