So who saved accused IAS officer Y Srilakshmi from spending more time in Chanchalguda jail? Congress MP Madhu Yaski claims it was KVP Ramachandra Rao, the former advisor to the state government.

Srilakshmi secured bail barely 24 hours after she was remanded to judicial custody, a rarity in these days when courts are unwilling to be generous to the accused in white collar offenses.

Alleging KVP’s role in the hastening of the bail for Srilakshmi, Madhu Yaski also accused the YSR soulmate of colluding with Jagan. KVP encouraged some Congress MLAs to support Jagan during the no-confidence motion, he alleged.

Surprising allegation, considering that KVP was criticized by TDP and others for moving around Assembly lobbies on the eve of the motion in an apparent bid to ensure victory to the government side.

The quintessential man-behind-the-screen himself, however, will not open his mouth to throw light on any of these rather wild insinuations.
