What is the one big regret that Chandrababu Naidu has? Not promising free power to agricultural connections in 2004 elections! Yes, Chandrababu himself confessed of his regret during his Sankranthi visit to native village Naravaripalle.

“I have always regretted not giving 9 hours of free supply of power, which is what brought Congress to power. I achieved healthy financial status for the state. These guys came and spent and plundered all that,” the TDP chief expressed his inner feelings.

He also said that the senior officials who worked with him like Duvvuri Subba Rao and Chandrasekhar became RBI Governor and Central IT secretary. Many officers who were with me are currently working in high positions in Delhi or in World Bank. But those who were close to YSR like Srilakshmi are behind bars, he said.

The former CM also reminsced that he had built his two-bed house in Naravaripalle when he was an MLA. His wife Bhuvaneswari built another two rooms here later. In Hyderabad too, his house had only three bed rooms, he told his native villagers. I never misused my position and amassed wealth, even though I had plenty of opportunities to do so,  he claimed.,

The relaxed Naidu also brushed aside the talk of making Nara Lokesh in-charge of his constituency. That is a decision to be taken by the entire party, he said. His wife Bhuvaneswari and son Lokesh were also with Naidu during this Sankranthi sojourn.
