Praveen Prakash, new AP Resident Commissioner in Delhi

Praveen Prakash, an IAS officer of 1994 cadre, has taken over as Resident Commissiner, AP Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday. A graduate from IIT Kanpur, Praveen Prakash started his career in Andhra Pradesh as sub-collector in Kurnool. Later, he was Commissioner of Guntur and Vijayawada municipalities. He was Collector of Visakhapatnam and East Godavari, and later was CEO of Eastern Power Distribution Corporation Ltd. He was also MD of various corportions such as Urban Finance Infrastructure Development Corporation. Praveen Prakash worked in the central service since 2013 in various capacities including as joint secretary in the Urban Development Department. He is now back in state service.
