The Centre has invited 9 political parties from the state to discuss on the issue of Telangana. A letter to this effect has been faxed on Wednesday to respective parties by K Skandan, Additional Secretar, Ministry of Home Affairs.

As expected, the letter asked the parties to send two representatives each to the meeting.

“A number of representations from the members of Parliament have been made to the Union Minister to restart the dialogue on the Telangana issue. Accordingly, it is proposed to convene a meeting on the subject on Friday the 28th December..

It is requested to kindly nominate two representatives from your side to attend the aforesaid meeting,” the letter said.

Parties including TDP and YSR CP would have heaved a sigh of relief, as this would enable them to put forth two opposing points of view on the issue of separate Telangana.
