C M Ramesh

Chandrababu Naidu is in great dilemma over Rajya Sabha tickets. Mysoora Reddy, who is expecting a re-nomination, may not continue in the party if he were to be denied the ticket. Interestingly, Sujana Chowdary, who is currently a Rajya Sabha MP of the party, is said to be lobbying for Mysoora Reddy.

Mysoora is locked against C M Ramesh, another industrialist, who is presently the vice-president of the party. It was C M Ramesh who brought Mysoora into Telugu Desam in 2004, as both belonged to the same district.

But things have changed dramatically since then, as Sujana Chowdary and Mysoora Reddy got closer in recent times. Sujana is said to be a partner in Mysoora’s Teja Cements in Kadapa. Chowdary took Mysoora’s property in Banjara Hills on lease and paying rent apparently without even using it.

Their detractors allege that Sujana Chowdary is using Mysoora’s Congress connection to protect his business interests.

Though Sujana Chowdary is rooting for Mysoora, Chandrababu reportedly is not inclined to give the ticket. He is said to have promised C M Ramesh, who is chairman of Ritwik Projects. He has been a major source of funding to the party in the past many years now. Ramesh has been claiming in private talks that Chandrababu Naidu promised him RS ticket.

Besides these two, Yanamala Ramakrishundu and Yerrannaidu are are vying for the ticket from Andhra region. TDP can send only two members and Chandrababu is expected to give one ticket each from Andhra and Telangana.
