The Telangana Lecturers are enraged over reports that Telangana lagged behind in the Intermediate I year results because of the disruption in the region due to ‘sakala janjula samme’.
A few newspapers reported that the Telangana region did not do too well in the exams because of the disturbances in the academic schedule. They were quoting some officials in this regard.
While this in no way is against Telangana students, the various Telangana lecturers organizations were up in arms against the reports. According to Namasthe Telangaaana, The T Lecturers JAC burnt Eenadu and Andhr Jyothy papers for ‘mischievous writings’.
They insisted that Telagnana region did very well. They said since Anantapur district did not do well, what was the reason for it – there was no sakala janula samme there, they argued.
Some said the reports were a ‘Seemandhra’ conspiracy to discourage students from participating in the Telangana agitations.
This is an interesting situation. If Telagnana region did well, well and good. It is Telangana leaders who claim that it was lagging behind.
If Andhra districts did not do well, yes, it was a fact that many T leaders were not willing to admit. The truth is that a lot of factors play a role in better educational facilities or standards. Government’s role is only one of them!
