Congress leaders lashed out at Minister D L Ravindra Reddy for his comments on the Chief Ministers and his actions regarding by-elections. The Kadapa Congress leaders including Minister Ahmadullah, MLA Veerasiva Reddya and former MLA Varadarajulu Reddy asked why he was interested in the by-polls after he had washed his hands off the polls earlier.
They said that if had any better candidates to suggest to the high command he should have done so, without making comments that CM had his way in the selection. They said that D L’s discontent was due to the fact that he was divested of his portfolios in the last reshuffle.
Veerasiva Reddy said that DL had lost his spirits since the by-elections when he had lost his deposit. The Health Minister neglected the district completely, he alleged, saying it was inappropriate for DL to criticize CM while continuing in the cabinet.
Veerasiva Reddy expressed confidence that Congress would win all the three seats going for by-poll in the district. Varadrajula Reddy said if DL was tired of politics, he should take retirement.
