Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stoutly refuted YSR Congress Party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy’s allegations of corruption against him. The person who had spent jail time for his corruption is making baseless charges, Naidu said at the India Today Conclave South in Chennai.
“The person who is making allegations of Rs 1 lakh crore scam in land purchase himself had gone to jail earlier on corruption charges. Land is still with farmers. So where is the corruption?” Chandrababu retorted when asked about Jagan’s allegations.
The YSR Congress leader has been talking about corruption in the land deals in Amaravati. Naidu said farmers willingly gave land, so there was no scope for any misuse. “Farmers have 35000 acres of land voluntarily given 35000 acres of land for construction of Amaravati.”
Naidu said there was no regret about Hyderabad. “I have no regret about losing Hyderabad to Telangana. We will build Amaravati as the best city not only in the country but in the world.”
He also said he was with the Centre on policy issues. “I’m a reformist. I never created a problem for Central government on policy issues,” he said.
