CID custody petition for Bhanu Kiran in theNampally court says that he was involved in land deals worth Rs 800 crore. He was aided in identification of land disputes by two film producers Singanamala Ramesh and C Kalyan, besides local revenue officials. Bhanu apparently told the police that he was helped by a senior police officer after the killing of Suri.
The cine producers provided info on 210 disputed lands to Bhanu for settlement, and Bhanu settled 90 such deals. Bhanu was active in his land ‘settlements’ in Cyberabad, Narsingi, Kukatpalli and Ranga Reddy areas. Bhanu took shelter in the house of a senior Minister before the release of Suri from jail. Bhanu, according to the report, is a key accused in 16 different cases.
