BJP’s unexpected win in Mahabubnagar, YSR Congress Party’s expected majority in Kovur and TDP failing to get deposit in Kamareddy are the main trends in the bypolls.
In four out of five seats in Telangana, TDP came third or fourth, which was contrary to poll predictions.
TDP stood second only in Kovuru and Station Ghanpur. The party could not give a tough fight in Kamareddy, Adilabad and Nagarkurnool where it won in 2009.
The Congress Party surprisingly gave a good show in Telangana. The party performed well in Kamareddy, Nagarkurnool, Kollapur and Adilabad.
