TJAC leader Prof Kodandaram is all praise for the MLAs who crossed over to Jagan during the floor test in the Assembly over no-confidence resolution. He is not able to digest the fact that while Jagan could muster the support of as many as 17 MLAs, why Telangana Congress MLAs could not gather courage to go against the government.
Kodandaram has also info that T MLAs were paid amounts ranging from 50 lakhs to 1 crore each. It was cheap compared to what the PRP and others got, the activist-professor averred. They could have had a meeting like the PRP on the eve of no-confidence and demanded their pound of flesh, he said.
More interestingly, Kodandaram was at a loss to understand why Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who has emerged as Telangana champion a few days ago, silently voted for the Kiran Kumar Reddy government. “What he did was a betrayal,” the TJAC leader admitted.
The JAC supported several leaders and groups in the interest of Telangana, but later they exploited this support for their own benefit, Kodandaram confessed.
