Once again, the ruling Congress has been confronted with its dilemma – to criticize YSR or not. During a meeting with the CM Kiran on by-elections, many Ministers and MLAs questioned the leadership over the impracticality of targeting Jagan without mentioning YSR’ s name.
“It’s is YSR who committed all irregularities and benefited Jagan. How can we not talk about the former CM,” questioned C Ramachandraiah and Mahidhar Reddy.
However, the Congressmen did not get a satisfactory answer on the issue. Admitting that the YSR government was corrupt would work against the party, Kiran said that would also mean the then Ministers were part of these irregularities.
PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana suggested that the Congress stand should be that the Ministers had no knowledge of backdoor deals, and hence had no role in any wrongdoing.
Finally, the CM said that Jagan should be targeted the way Chandrababu Naidu was being targeted.
Many leaders alleged that some leaders are Congress by day and Jagan’s men by night.
