Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni and Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150 are widely awaited, as both are taking their films as career milestones. The audio of both the films have also been released. While Gautamiputra songs are available in full, three songs of Khaidi No.150 are out.
While veteran Devisri Prasad gave his best to Khaidi, relatively new entrant Chirrantan Bhatt composed the riveting music for Gautamiputra Satakarni. DSP’s catchy tunes have been received with mixed response, while Bhatt’s compositions offer variety and freshness, and seem to be getting positive response.
“One of the best in DSP’s album” is one comment, while another said, “I will give one idea. There is a Telugu dubbed version of Original Kaththi songs. Just hear that and leave this shit. You wont get that kind of theme music and songs here. They should have dubbed the movie too.”
GSK has better comments. “The songs contain historic flavour in very pleasant form,” said one, while a few other described GPS soundtrack as ‘epic album”.
DSP’s tunes for Khaidi were clearly aimed at the front benches and the beats are youthful, but there is a sense of deja vu with the compositions. However, Khaidi songs (videos) on YouTube registered millions of views, compared to GSK song videos, showing the power of Chiranjeevi.
