Telangana Chief Minister KCR will attend the special screening of Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni. KCR reportedly accepted the invitation today when Balakrishna met him.
The Chief Minister has announced entertainment tax exemption to the film. “Actor Balakrishna has met the Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday and requested that his film Gautamiputra Sathakarni be exempted from the ET, as it happened to be a historical film. Responding to Balskrishna’s request, the Chief Minister has instructed the officials concerned to issue the Orders,” the official press release said.
Since Satakarni is said to have ruled from Kotilingala in Karimnagar, KCR has shown much interest in the film from day one. He attended the inaugural function and spoke about the effort in glowing terms.
Now, he will have a special show of the film, which is releasing on January 12. The film will compete with Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150, releasing a day earlier, at the box office this Sankranthi.
Meanwhile, Satakarni got U/A censor certificate.
