Komatireddy Pratik Reddy, son of former minister and MLA Venkat Reddy, died in a freak car accident on the outer ring road in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening. Pratik Reddy, along with two other friends, were going towards Patancheru, when they hit the road divider.
Apparently, the driver had to apply a sudden break when they saw a small herd of cattle crossing the road, which resulted in the car hitting the divider.
The death was instant for all the three out of four boys travelling in the car. The boy sitting to the extreme right in the photo on the left is Pratik Reddy.
Pratik Reddy is the only son of Komatireddy. Pratik is studying B.Tech in CBIT at Gandipet. Pratik was driving a Skoda when the accident happened.
Venkat Reddy, who is currently in Delhi, rushed to Hyderabad. The other two students who died on the spot are also CBIT students. They are Sujit Reddy and Chandra Reddy. Another student Aaroh Reddy, who was also with them in the car, is seriously injured and has been rushed to hospital.
Minister Jana Reddy was one of the first to rush to the accident spot. Political leaders across the spectrum expressed shock and grief at the death.
Recently, Azahruddin’s son as well as actor Kota Srinivasa Rao’s son also died in accidents on Outer Ring Road.
