Muddasani

Muddasani Damodar Reddy (56), senior leader of Telugu Desam Party from Karimnagar, passed away at NIMS Hospital in Hyderabad on Monday.

Damodar Reddy has been keeping ill for some years now, and hence politically not active. Four times MLA from Kamalapur constituency in Karimnagar, Muddasani lost consecutively in three elections since 2004.

When TDP split in 1995, he stayed with NTR, but later joined Chandrababu Naidu. He was  made minister thrice in NTR as well as in Naidu cabinet.

Muddasani was born at Mamidalapalli village in Veenavanka mandal of Karimagar district. He is survived by wife and a son.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who expressed his condolences on the death of Muddasani, cancelled his Kadapa tour on Tuesday and is returning to Hyderabad to attend to the funeral.
