Billed as gangster classic, Pawan Kalyan’s Panjaa, releasing on Dec 9, has raised lot of expectations among his fans and others alike. The film’s trailers have already received rave reviews for the technical finesse which is seen all over the teasers.
Director Vishnuvardhan, originally a Telugu, made a mark for himself in Tamil industry. Known for slick and stylish films, Vishnu is said to have achieved a rare blend of brilliant action sequences coupled with breezy romantic narration.
Pawan’s unconventional and refreshing style of stunt scenes and dancing steps are expected to be a big draw for the film in which the power star looks menacing in a beard.
Sesh Adivi, who directed his debut film Karma and also assayed the lead role in that film, is a surprise cast in Panjaa. New comers Sarah Jane and Anjali Lavania are the heroines. Music, which is already a rage, is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The film was to be dubbed in Tamil as Kuri since Pawan Kalyan commands a good market in Tamil Nadu. But unconfirmed reports say that Vishnuvardhan, who made Billa with Ajith earlier, wants to remake Panjaa in Tamil with Ajith as the hero.
