YSR Congress Party does not have any right to issue defamation notice on behalf of Jagan Mohan Reddy, countered writer and commentator C Narasimha Rao, who wrote a two-part psycho-political analysis of Jagan in Andhra Jyothy.

The articles described Jagan as megalomaniac who has completely lost touch with reality and who believes in his own infallibility.

YSR Congress Party treasurer Kiran Kumar Reddy issued a notice to Narasimha Rao on this article, demanding an apology.

In his reply, Narasimha Rao said that Jagan felt that his reputation was damaged because of the article, he should issue notices in his personal capacity and not on behalf of his party.

He said he would welcome Jagan to issue any notice as that would provide an opportunity to prove the points made in the article. “I have the same rights to comment on YSR Congress Party, as Jagan has a right to form a party and face elections,” he concluded.
