The bitter fight between Minister Ravela Kishore Babu and Guntur ZP Chairperson Janimun refuses to subside even as CM Chandrababu Naidu pushed for a patch up. Even though Ravela Kishore tried to douse the fires, saying that Janimun was like his daughter, the latter refused to recant her allegations. Janimun said that she still feared for her life from the Minister, and wanted protection.

However, on Sunday, TDP leader Prattipati Pullarao, Anjaneyulu and Palle Raghunatha Reddy worked for a patch up between the two – on the instructions of Chandrababu Naidu. All the leaders, including Ravela Kishore, went to Janimun’s house and held discussions for an hour. Later, in a hurriedly called for press conference, Ravela Kishore and Janimun said that they had sorted out their differences. Ravela reportedly assured that he would not interfere with Janimun’s activities in her native Kakumanu mandal.

Though the patch up was made for public consumption, the duo continue to have their animosity. It is only for fear of Naidu that they seemed to enact the reconciliation drama. This was evident from the previous day’s developments.

Earlier, though the Minister publicly made conciliatory gestures, behind the scenes he ensured that Janimun was denounced by his followers. On the other hand, several TDP Muslim leaders and those opposed to Ravela Kishore condemned the Minister’s alleged behaviour towards the ZP Chairperson, and demanded action. Interestingly, Janimun even lodged a complaint to the Guntur Urban SP Sarvasreshta Tripathi, alleging a life threat to her family from the social welfare minister.

A three-member fact-finding committee, comprising district in-charge minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, district party president GV Anjaneyulu and MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, was formed by Chandrababu Naidu  to come up with a report on the tussle.

Whatever the committee might have to say, the differences between the two seem irreconcilable. Kishore Babu has been reportedly hampering Janimun’s work as ZP Chairperson, as he suspected her husband Gabbar, a long time TDP worker, to have been working against him. Having been at the receiving end for quite some time now, Janimun seems to have decided to go public with her allegations.

But the damage seems to have already been caused, with YSR CP leaders Ambati Rambabu and Roja demanding that a case be filed against the Minister in view of the allegations hurled by the ZP Chairperson.
