Did Kodandaram violate rules in getting professorship? That is the allegation made by Telugunadu Vidyarthi Federation president Narsireddy. He claimed that Kodandaram had received his Ph.D as recently as in 2003. Rules stipulate that a minimum of 8 years as associate professor experience is required for getting promoted as professor.

However, Kodandaram became professor within four years in 2007. Narsireddy alleged that Kodandaram’s promotion was illegal and demanded an inquiry. He said that a delegation from TDP student wing will submit a memo to Governor to look into the matter.

It may be recalled that TDP MLA Revanth Reddy had alleged that Kodandaram Reddy was made professor by YSR against rules. The JAC leader was going soft on Jagan because the former had owed to his father for his irregular promotion.
