Telangana CM KCR justified in the Assembly his new sprawling and luxurious residence built in Begumpet. Referring to the criticism made by some Members of the House, he said nobody should talk about the official residence in derogatory terms. It is people’s property, I don’t own it, he said.
The posh residence was built for Ministers and officials to meet the CM and conduct meetings. “Earlier, there was parking space only for the CM’s convoy. Now, we have provision for all those who visit the CM,” he explained. The Telangana CM’s official residence should be such that the visiting foreigners should think high of Telangana, he said.
KCR also expressed his desire to visit the Opposition leader K Jana Reddy and have dinner with him. “Earlier, there was this tradition of the CM visiting the Opposition leader’s residence,” he said.
