Y S Vivekananda Reddy is making all out effort to get a nomination for Rajya Sabha. His latest trip to Delhi is one of many such visits to the high command to press for his case.

“I am no competition to Chiranjeevi (who is expected to be nominated by Congress for RS). I am seeking a post as a loyal member of the party,” Viveka said in Delhi.

This is probably the first time recently that Viveka is without any public office. He has been an MP or an MLA or MLC continuously for many years. Now that he is without a post, he has not been able to address the needs of the party and people in the Kadapa district, he said.

He claimed that Jagan and his mother Vijayamma have not been on talking terms with him since the Kadapa by-elections. He feels the YSR factor and Jagan’s popularity will not sustain for too long. “Things will change by 2014 when assembly are due,” he concluded.
