Tara Chowdary alias Rajeswari was sent to Banjara Hills Police Station on Monday to spend the next four days in the police custody. Arrested on allegations of forcing a girl into sex trade, Tara was earlier lodged in women’s prison of Chanchalguda jail.
Following the plea of the police, the Nampally court sent her to police custody for questioning. There was media stampede when Tara was brought out of the jail for police custody. The lady constables who threw a ring around her did not allow her to speak to the media.
But in all that din, Tara managed to say that she was innocent and that she was bring framed. The police had told the court that Tara should be questioned at length to dig out details of her murky dealings.
Tara was also seen crying as she was being led by the police.
