TDP leader and comedian Babu Mohan on Monday fired at his own party colleague Varla Ramaiah for trying to act ‘smart’. “He is thinking too big about himself. Even a small child knows me in this state. How can this man pretend that he doesn’t even know my name,” Babu Mohan fumed.

The strong reaction from Babu Mohan was triggered by Varla Ramaiah’s press meet at the party office on Sunday. Talking about Jagan, Ramaiah wanted to quote a scene from one of Babu Mohan’s scenes in a film. Seemingly unable to recollect his name, Ramaiah had asked his colleagues,” What is the name of that comedian, who is in our party?”

This unintended insult seems to have got on Babu Mohan’s nerves.

Asked about Ramaiah not being able to recollect his name during the press conference at the party office, Babu Mohan reacted sharply. “This fellow was waiting on the roads to have a look at me once upon a time. Now he is sitting by the side of Chandrababu. So he thinks he is too big even to know my name,” lambasted the former minister and MLA of TDP.

It would be interesting to see how Ramaiah, who has been able to push himself into the limelight in the party in recent years, would react to Babu Mohan’s outburst. Incidentally, both of them have a Dalit social background.
