Eenadu Ramoji Rao has been very soft when it comes to the Telangana issue. A man of strong likes and dislikes, Ramoji, however, always avoided making enemies of parties and politicians supporting Telangana.
So much so that any bandh call given by TRS or any Telangana outfit would automatically mean that Ramoji Film City would down its shutters. Even on Tuesday, following a bandh call given by TRS, RFC closed its doors to visitors for the day.
Not only would RFC fall in line with any bandh call given by T outfits, it would actually ensure that the fact is widely publicized. So you will miss never a scroll on ETV saying, “RFC is closed due to Telangana bandh today”.
TRS and especially KCR was very vehement in his criticism of all so-called Andhra media in the initial days, but that changed quite a bit later. The fiery leader has not been known to criticize or target Ramoji, his media or RFC.
There were many within TRS and separatist groups who in the past referred to RFC as an example of Andhra aggrandizement in grabbing T lands. But TRS as a party or KCR as its leader generally have kept away from such criticism.
Is this part of an understanding? At least a mutually beneficial agreement, one might say.
