TDP leader Revanth Reddy lashed out at Sakshi television and YSR Congress Party for linking his name to Tara Chowdary. Sakshi TV on Friday carried the allegations of Bajireddy Govardhan, a Jagan loyalist, that Revanth was an accused in Tara Chowdary case.
The YSR Congress Party leader was reacting to Revanth Reddy’s comments earlier that the government should take over Sakshi media outlets and hand them over to impartial managements. He also took potshots at some leaders of journalists’ associations for ‘taking sides on behalf of Jagan in the name of press freedom’.
Sakshi TV prominently carried Bajireddy comments linking Revanth’s name to Tara Chowdary who was in police custody over alleged flesh trade. Revanth dared Sakshi to prove allegations against him failing which they should offer public apologies.
“Unable to face my arguments over Jagan, Sakshi is carrying such false campaign to tarnish my personal image,” Revanth said.
