A major grouse of the TDP leaders and activists against Chandrababu Naidu is that he hasn’t changed much in terms of improving his public speaking abilities. He tends to be repetitious, verbose and generally uninspiring in his speeches. More than all these is the length of his speeches which can be really tiring even for the most ardent fans of Naidu.
Chandrababu’s speech at the well-organized concluding meet of Vastunna Mee Kosam yatra at Vizag is the latest example of how he actually shoos away his listeners with his unending speeches. He spoke for nearly one and half hours from 8.30 pm till 10 pm, leaving the audience in the sprawling grounds gasping for relief.
He went on and on with his routine drone, even as the people started slowly melting away unable to take any more. But he wouldn’t stop, turning half the ground empty.
Many TDP leaders and activists wished that Chandrababu pruned his speech to a reasonable limit, like Balakrishna who gave a 15-minute speech. This is where KCR always scores a point or two over Chandrababu – the former knows how to keep his audiences engaged and always makes his speech short and clinically sharp.
