These are bad days indeed for Chevella Chellemma. Home Minister Sabitha Indrareddy seems to have been politically isolated. It is not just another Minister Shankar Rao who is causing her deep depression. She feels she has turned out to be a persona non grata in Kiran Kumar Reddy government.
Sabitha, who wielded considerable clout during YSR regime, is currently has no say even in her department affairs. Shankar Rao and Manda Krishna have been turning heat on her with the help of Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha. Manda Krishna is said to be making all his moves against Sabitha from Raja Narasimha’s house.
Shankar Rao submitted a memorandum to President Pratibha Patil against his colleague Home Minister, which itself is unprecedented. Manda Krishna could not get an appointment with the President for the same purpose.
Sabitha is also facing still resistance in her Ranga Reddy district, where a few MLAs have joined hands with her rival K L Reddy to plot against her. In her Home Department, Sabhita has been left with no say, as DGP Dinesh Reddy has been calling all the shots.
The Chevella Chellemma is not being treated with due importance by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy either. She feels he has been avoiding her and supporting Dinesh Reddy in all decisions.
