Jagan Mohan Reddy has been called by the CBI to appear before it in the ongoing interrogation for the third day on Sunday. Coming out of Dilkush after the day-long questioning by CBI officials on Saturday, Jagan told the waiting media persons that he was asked by the agency to come again on Sunday for further inquiry.
The round two of Jagan’s visit to the CBI temporary office at Dilkush Guest House on Raj Bhavan Road was less dramatic, though police were present in full force for any eventuality. Jagan was accompanied to Dilkush by Congress MP Sabbam Hari, Congress MLA Alla Nani and Jupudi Prabhakara Rao.
“It went off peacefully. The CBI asked me to come again on Sunday for more clarifications,” Jagan said before being driven to his Lotus Pond residence.
On Monday, Jagan and 12 other accused named in the first charge sheet filed by the CBI in the case will have to attend the Nampally CBI court for the hearing.
Meanwhile, the Miyapur police held three alleged YSR Congress Party persons for plotting to torch 100 RTC buses in the city in the event of Jagan’s arrest. The party workers reportedly confessed that they were asked by YSR Party leaders Vinay Reddy and Raj Thakur to attack the buses if Jagan were to be jailed.
