At last, spiritual guru Changati Koteswara Rao received his appointment as Andhra Pradesh Government cultural and development advisor.
A Government Order to this effect was issued on Monday.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced last April that the celebrated spiritual guru Chaganti Koteswara Rao would be appointed as government cultural and development advisor.
During the presentation ceremony of the Kalaratna-Hamsa award on him as part of the Ugadi celebrations in 2016, the CM made the announcement.
Impressed by his talk on ‘hard work,’ Naidu took an impromptu decision of appointing him as advisor. “I was doubtful whether he would accept my offer. I am happy that he agreed to it. He will assume office on Saturday,” he said at that time.
Changati is presently working as manager in Food Corporation of India. He will continue in his present employment, and advise the Government. According to the GO, Changanti will not get any remuneration for his position.
Known for his ‘pravachanams (spiritual talks)’, Changanti was earlier inducted as Member the Advisory Council in the Education Department.
