Chianjeevi wants to be Home Minister in the state! Yes, Chiru who had merged his party along with 17 of his MLAs, has been mounting pressure on the Congress high command to make him Home Minister.
The Congress has been asking him to accept the position of Union Minister of State in the central cabinet. However, Chiru and his advisers are not keen on accepting the position. They have been angling for a cabinet rank in the union ministry.
Even as the wrangling over this deadlock has been going in, Chiru reportedly changed his stand and told the Congress that he would prefer to be Home Minister in the state rather than a Minister of State in the union cabinet.
However, Kiran Kumar Reddy or even the Congress is not yielding to the pressure. It is in this backdrop that his proposed inclusion in the proposed reshuffle of central cabinet on Sunday has been put in abeyance.
Interestingly, Chiru played the role of Home Minister in a film Mutha Mestri in early 90s. In the film he goes around with a lot of security men in black, taking on the villains.
His filmy dream of doing the same in real life may not come true!
