Former TDP man C Ramachandraiah is one of the key advisers to Chiranjeevi in the latter merging PRP with Congress. The former MP has already rewarded with an MLC post for his services. But his plans to get a berth in Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet seem to be going awry with Congress politics.
PRP MLAs have been mounting pressure on Chiranjeevi, who in turn is piling on Congress for including his men in the ministry. The two names doing the rounds from PRP are Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Chennamasetty Ramachandraiah.
While Kiran Kumar Reddy wants to induct new ministers only after the ensuing by-polls, the PRP MLAs feel that the move has already been delayed inordinately.
However, even before a decision could be taken about the induction, Ramachandraiah’s candidature is being vehemently opposed by Congress MLA from Kadapa district Veerasiva Reddy. Ramachandraiah also hails from the same district.
Veerasiva Reddy is one of the hopefuls for the ministerial berth and he now feels that the ‘backdoor’ entry of Ramachandraiah will come in the way of his selection.
“I will leave the Congress Party if Ramachandraiah is inducted into the cabinet,” a fuming Veersiva Reddy allegedly told the Chief Minister. The Kamalapuram MLA is a major Jagan-basher and hence close to Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is stuck in this face-off.
