Even as Gali Janardhana Reddy is still languishing in jail, his political party is taking a shape in Bellary. The new party has been registered with the Election Commission of India. The name of the new party has an uncanny resemblance to YSR Congress Party.
Gali’s party is named as Badava, Sramika, Rythu Congress (BSR Congress) Party. Jagan’s party’s full name is Yuvajana, Sramika, Rythu Congress Party. The resemblance of the names of the two parties is too prominent to be dismissed as coincidental.
Gali Janardhana Reddy’s close confidante and recently elected independent MLA from Bellary Sriramulu disclosed that the title of the new party has already been registered. Sriramulu, who is now taking care of all political moves of Gali brothers in Bellary, had announced earlier after a meeting with Gali in Chanchalguda jail that their new party would be launched soon.
What is surprising is that the Gali brothers who made a mark in BJP politics before falling out, should have ‘Congress’ as part of their party’s name. It is understandable that Jagan had the same tag because of YSR’s connection with Congress Party.
Is there some future plan between Gali and Jagan in calling their respective parties with the same name?
