Gali Janardhana Reddy pleaded with the CBI court in Bangaluru not to send him back to Hyderabad Chanchalguda jail. He had claimed that his life was under threat in Chanchalguda jail. While Gali might have preferred to stay in Bangaluru jail since his close associates will be close by, the VIP guests in Chanchalguda jail were apparently sad at the development
The reason? When Gali was around in the jail, he would take care of small and not so small needs of the other VIP inmates in the jail. Chanchalguda jail is brimming with many VIPs including OMC Srinivasa Reddy, Former Mines Dept director Rajagopal, Koneru Prasad, Vijaya Sai Reddy, Emaar Vijaya Raghavan, Nookarapu Suryaprasa Rao of Surya daily, Jagan’s aide Sunil Reddy and BP Acharya.
Gali’s absence was reportedly being felt by these inmates as the mining baron had the resources and clout to manage little favours to all his new-found friends by the jail authorities.
