C Ramachandraiah

Kiran is proving to be a tough nut to crack for Chiranjeevi. The euphoria of getting into the cabinet at last vanished within a few hours as the CM refused to part with two important portfolios that the newly inducted Ministers were seeking.

Initial reports suggested that Ganta and Ramachandraiah were allotted the important departments of Commercial Taxes and Power respectively. But Kiran was very tight-fisted, saying that there were problems in giving these ministries to PRP group.

The CM’s main concern was that the senior Ministers who sought these departments would be left discontented. He reportedly told Chiranjeevi that his men would be given important portfolios in the impending reshuffle and requested him to take for the present Agriculture and Endowments.

A flabbergasted Chiranjeevi did not know how to react even as his men insisted that they should demand their pound of flesh. The issue is likely to sorted out on Friday. But for Chiru, the learning towards power politics has been the hard way.
