Poor Jagan seems to be getting isolated day by day. Even as his 39th birthday celebrations were being celebrated across the state by his party workers on Wednesday, Jagan was in Delhi making a vain bid to meet up with Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar.

The YSR Congress Party president wanted to give a memorandum to the Minister on various issues affecting farmers in the state. He was in Delhi with a delegation of farmers. Jagan had a prior appointment with the Agriculture Minister. However, he could not meet up with Pawar, as the latter was said to be busy with some other pressing engagement.

It emerged latter that the Minister gave a slip to Jagan deliberately. According to YSR Congress Party leaders, Congress MPs prevailed upon Pawar against receiving Jagan’s memorandum with attendant press coverage.

“There are political reasons behind the cancellation of the apppointment,” Nagireddy, YSR Congress Party Farmers Wing convener alleged. He said that Jagan kept away from his birthday celebrations in order to bring to the Minister’s notice the problems of farmers.

The YSR Congress Party will hold dharnas in front of Collectorates on Dec 23 as announced earlier.

Interestingly, Jagan was said earlier to be making efforts to strike a relationship with Sharad Pawar and his Nationalist Congress Party. The young leader wanted to emulate NCP and make his YSR Congress a key player in AP politics and wrest control in Delhi too, like Pawar.
