Being a Minister pays in all circumstances! Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana jumped into the fray the moment he was informed that his son was caught at Shamshsabad Airport by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials. Kanna ‘s son was one of the four of the group who were taken into custody for bringing more than Rs 50 lakh worth goods including alchohol and electronic goods. Serilingampalli MLA Bikshapathi’s son was also part of the group.
While the rest were still the under the custody of officials, Kanna rushed in, paid the fine and took away his son, avoiding all the media men at the airport. The rest of the group may also get out after paying the fine and a little extra, but the point is that being in power helps!
No wonder there is so much competition for a berth in the cabinet.
