A year in the Chief Minister’s saddle seems to have instilled lot of confidence in Kiran Kumar Reddy. The man with little experience in administration and less than adequate political base has now become presumptuous with an air of certainty.
In the only interview he gave on the occasion to Deccan Chronicle, Kiran declared firmly, “I am telling you, I will face 2014 elections”.
He believes that in the last one year he had ‘increased the confidence levels of people in general and Congress cadres in particular that here is a government…’.
Kiran’s new-found audacity was also evident when he announced, “I did better than my previous governments’.
Stating that there is a total turnaround in the state during the last one year, the Chief Minister , who was installed in the seat by the Congress high command in volatile circumstances, also revealed that he will start an exercise about the appointments for nominated posts after the winter session of the Assembly starting from December 1.
Convinced that he would be able to bring unity among the disparate groups within Congress, Kiran proclaimed, “ I will prove myself in the 2014 elections also”.
