A woman belonging to Godavarikhani in Karimnagar district living in Shanghai city of China reportedly committed suicide on Friday last. Mrudula was married to Jallaram Ramesh in 2005. They have a 5-year-old daughter. Her husband, working for Infosys was posted to Shanghai and living there in an apartment. Mrudula joined him in May last.
She apparently jumped from the terrace of the apartment a few hours before the family planned a trip to India. The incident reportedly occurred when Ramesh went out for shopping. The reasons for Mrudula’s action are not not known yet. Her parents, who live in Lakshmipuram in Bejjanki mandal, are still under shock after hearing the news.
The body of Mrudula will be brought back to India from Shanghai in a week’s time after the local police complete formalities.
