NTR family, led by his son Ramakrishna, has forcibly evicted Lakshmi Parvathi from the latter’s Banjara Hills residence. NTR’s former wife is presently travelling and is in Guntur on private visit. Her mother is staying alone in the house.
Assocites of Ramakrishna who came with police escort moved all the furniture and other nick-knacks belonging to Lakshmi Parvathi from the house.
“The court’s order is being executed. She failed to give any date to vacate the house to the court,” Ramakrishna told reporters.
The house on Road No 13 in Banjara Hills has lot of memories for Parvathi with NTR. This is where they lived all through their married life. This is where NTR lived as CM during his second term and later lost power to Naidu. This is where NTR died in 1996.
The house was built by NTR in the name of his last daughter Umamaheswari, who lives in Chennai. After the death of NTR, Uma gave power of attorney to Ramakrishna, who approached courts for possession of the house.
A Division Bench of the High Court on March 9 this year dismissed the appeal filed by Lakshmi Parvathi and gave her two months to vacate the house. The civil court had decreed the suit.
