Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150 pre-release function has been held at Hailand near Guntur on Saturday evening. The highlight of the function is the attendance of Dasari Narayana Rao, who has not been on very good terms with Chiranjeevi earlier.
Watch the video of the function below.
Chiranjeevi, in his speech, wished best of good luck not only to Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni, but also other films releasing on Sankranti, such as Satamanam Bhavathi and Head Constable Venkatramaiah.
As expected, Pawan Kalyan is missing, while the entire Chiranjeevi clan, from Allu Aravind to Varun Tej, even Sushmita and Niharika were in tow. Allu Arjun, surprisingly, was the first to wish best of luck to Gautamiputra Satakarni, which is also releasing a day after Khaidi.
Nagababu made some controversial comments in his speech. Read about them here.
Chiranjeevi, after a long time, spoke at length. He thanked everybody who worked for the film, including VV Vinayak and his daughter Sushmita who designed costumes for him. He said he did not expect that Ram Charan would turn out to be such a good producer. Ram Charan knows about production more than me, Chiru admitted.
He paid rich compliments to his heroine Kajol, who acted with Ram Charan earlier, and now acted with his father, which is a ‘rare feat’.
Chiru also tried to appease his fans, by singing a few words of the song ‘Rathalu Rathalu’, and appeared to really enjoy the adulation he got as a star.
Eariler there were conspiracy theories floated that the ruling TDP was creating hurdles against holding the event. That was to ensure Balakrishna’s film gets an upper hand, the rumours suggested.
Ministers from AP Government Kamineni Srinivas and Prathipati Pullarao attended the function
