Manohar also trying his luck

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is now being regarded as only the first among equals in both government and Congress Party. The days of one supreme leader in the state Congress no longer exist and hence many leaders are in the race for that coveted position of CM.

Since the Congress high command put everybody on probation presently in the state, Kiran is insecure while Botcha Satyanarayana, Damodara Raja Narasimha and Chiranjeevi are waiting for their number to click.

Now, Speaker Nadendla Manohar is in the same race, according to TDP leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu. Manohar, who has no love lost for Kiran since the former speaker had tried his best to prevent his election for the post, is also throwing his hat into the ring.

Manohar has been recently been very active touring all over the state from Adilabad to Anantapur, the latest being his Araku sojourn in the name of training first time MLAs. Manohar made all his visits into CDs and sending them to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, s.ays Naidu.

According to the TDP leader, Manohar is eying the CM’s seat and trying to make a good impression with the high command. “We already have 5 groups in Congress, Manohar will be leading the sixth one,” Muddukrishnama Naidu said tongue in cheek.
