Sakshi headquarters on Banjara Hills Road No 1 is an imposing modern structure that few media houses in Andhra Pradesh can boast of. The cost of the building is said to be around Rs 27 crore.
The money for this edifice from which Sakshi paper and Sakshi TV operate apparently came from Matrix Prasad.
Sakshi office buildings throughout the state are owned by Jagathi Infrastructure. But the main office belongs to none of these. A shell company by name Shalom Infrastructure was floated to purchase a total of 3632 square yards of land in the hear of Banjara Hills at a cost of Rs 20.62 crore between 2006-08.
Now Shalom, which had neither employees nor any business activity, was funded by Silicon Builders, which in turn was funded by Matrix Prasad. The total inflow to Silicon was Rs 30 cr out of which Prasad’s share was Rs 27 cr. Which means that the entire cost of the building was borne by Jagan’s ‘good friend’ Nimmagadda Prasad.
But for all his money that was used for the Sakshi head office, Matrix Prasad had only nominal shares in Shalom Infrastructure, which is now controlled by YS Bharathi!
