Parakala Prabhakar of Visalandhra Mahasabha has been trying to expose the alleged double standards of civil rights and human rights organizations in Andhra Pradesh for some time now.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday during the VMS exhibition at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, he once again lambasted the hypocrisy of the civil rights outfits who never supported the right of the organizations like VMS to talk in support of unity of the state.
“Not once have these people come out to condemn the attacks against us, or attempts to stifle our voices or even the physical attacks against us,” Parakala said.
On Thursday too, some people calling themselves Telangana journalists created a scene at the exhibition. Everytime VMS holds a meet, a few who claim themselves to be journalists barge into the meet and disrupt it on some pretext or other.
But as Parakala pointed out, there is no instance when the civil rights groups issued any statement in support of the right of the VMS to project their point of view.
